Tutorial 06 Nov 2009

Fossilization is the process, which the organic matter has been turned to stone. The process can record the history from millions of years as the journey of light, which came from outside space to the earth. When we look at fossils or stars in the sky, we are looking back to the history. These two processes are investigated as the time base relationship.

Light itself does not have any properties to record the history but light, which is interacted with matters record the history. An ancient light journeyed and carried informations of the observable universe, which is extremely far form the earth more than billions of light year. Simultaneously, one of the oldest fossil on the earth ‘Stromatolites’ consumed billions years to become a fossil.
